New ^ 2 Balance
Eugene and Patrick of New Balance Singapore sent over a nice little box of NBs. The GORE-TEX MT580s I’ve been fiending for awhile. It’s not secret and something touched upon in my recent post, technical materials are my shit and I love the aspect of blending it in with lifestyle offerings. The other two I’ll be honest, not all that keen. The super multi-colored joints were designed by a Japanese comedian who has this goal of running around the world. Sure he had a laugh designing those 769s haha. As well I’m pretty sure the 420s feature Schoeller materials cause the two new creative directors for New Balance seemingly have a vested interest in Schoeller ahaha I don’t really know, but they have put out quite a few shoes featuring Schoeller tech as of late. White and black spray painted look is cool. Does the Gore -Tex mean these can be my new camping hiking shoes, haha yeah right!
I actually think they’d be decent. Maybe not ideal but the MT580 is a trail runner. The tongue is gusseted (I think that’s the right word?) and attached to the side of the shoe so you don’t have to worry about water seeping in.
