I know that Skateboarding is very mainstream now and it's considered a look. Apparel companies are jumping on the bandwagon of the culture so they can sell to skate shops because they think it will help them move more product if they are associated with the Skateboarding lifestyle. If you are going to jump on the bandwagon and exploit it .... you might as well learn more about the history

Believe it or not Skateboarding on the East Coast has been alive and well since the 80's. I remember watching H-Street videos and being blown away on how good theses dudes were on skateboards. Matt Hensley was always up there in my top 10 influential skateboarders of all time.
