LONG ISLAND MOVEMENTS.
September 2, 2010

Made some cross state movements and found myself out on Long Island with Ronnie Fieg and Joe La Puma from Complex last weekend shooting one of Ronnie's new Asics releases. Quite the crazy pair of shoes that guy crafted over there I must say. Incredibly well colorblocked and designed. The full photographic documentation took place on Madbury. A few shots from the day to give you a behind the scenes look at the already behind the scenes proceedings.

Lost in Long Island.

Dunking on the Rabbi's court.

Lacing up.

Soraya Yd, the first model for the Asics release snatches up a frog joining in on the festivities.

For the full behind the scenes coverage, be sure to check out the Madbury spread, entitled Waterworld. Good times all around as summer finally wraps up. Fall here we come. Let's make it a good time.

DUSTY BASEMENTS: UNLIMITED LOVE ARTICLE.
August 15, 2010

Every once and I while I get to sit down and write like I mean it. I scribed this little Dusty Basements piece last week and people really seemed to enjoy so I figured I'd throw it up over here for those who haven't made the Madbury Music move yet.

I’d kindly like you to press play on the above track. What your ears will be treated to is a slow, plodding piano introduction backed by what sounds like some sort of xylophone or triangle and strings before the whole productions drags to a beautiful beginning like an old turntable pulling the platter along to the start of a song. The next thing you know the drums start and it starts to sound like the soundtrack to your parent’s wedding recorded on VHS. Flowers are falling from trees, birds are chirping and making love in the trees, and those damn ribbons Stevie Wonder wouldn’t stop singing about are drifting down from heaven. Never mind all of that though, focus on that introduction.. Those seemingly non-important piano chords that get the whole production started. Oh deary me hold onto your Tumblr accounts and Tamagotchi pets, those pianos are about to get a work out like you would not believe.

MORNING SIDE.
August 15, 2010

Last week my younger brother, my cousin and I spent a night on an island off of the coast of Massachusetts.

To put it simply. There's nothing better than waking up in the morning, and seeing this:

As great as all of this style, internet, blog nonsense is...nothing really compares. Excluding the ridiculous case of poison ivy I managed to come across. So work with me as I come down from the natural high and get back into the swing of things.

THIS IS CURRENTLY WHAT I’M DEALING WITH.
August 9, 2010

That's what I'm currently dealing with at the moment. Wifi in this region is an absolute joke. I know the majority of you are pretty much fed up with pictures of nature at this point but I've got to be honest. Someone gave me this blog and all I can do is provide my perspective. For the next week or so that's going to be straight green leafage and vast blue oceans. I'm just getting started with the images.

We're shooting a new Award Tour lookbook this weekend, that's exciting stuff for those of you who care about the whole industry, behind the scenes sort of thing. I'll throw some of those shots up here as it goes down.

I'm preparing to jump off a few quarry walls and camp on an island tomorrow night. Trust that the images from those proceedings will be much more enjoyable than all of the clothing/blogging stuff. Coming soon.

Stay Safe-Phil.
