3Sixteen On the Move
Some pretty nice weather today. The usual oppressing NYC heat was no where to be found which met with no complaints from me. Most everyone knows about Reed Space down on Allen in the Lower East Side of New York City, but only a certain amount of people knew about a little office space across the street that has quietly been the homebase for progressive streetwear label 3Sixteen for a couple of years now.

I’ll be honest I feel a little pretentious saying “progressive” streetwear line, but that is really probably the best way to describe 3Sixteen’s growth over the past year. Completely transforming from your basic ‘t-shirt, hoody, fitted’-streetwear label into a full men’s wear line that encompasses all of those staples they were killing before as well as an arsenal of ties, jackets, and an amazing collaboration pair of boat shoes. That was a hell of a run-on sentence but you catch my drift. One of my favorite labels out there and they have been making all of this noise from their tiny little spot downtown that has housed their office space for a good little deal of time now.

I’ve been stopping through the office to bother co-owner of 3Sixteen, Andrew Chen, for a couple of years now and he still hasn’t managed to figure out a way to keep me from coming by to steal his outlet to charge my phone or sublet in his 2.5 foot wide bathroom in the back. In all seriousness though Andrew is one of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet in the business and is always more than willing to take time out of his busy days to drop knowledge for anyone smart enough to listen. It is people like this that make working just that much easier so big shoutouts to the brother Andrew.
Oh yeah-the reason I am making this post is because Andrew and the brothers at 3Sixteen have big things happening in the city. They are finally leaving their humble office space and moving into what will soon become the premium source for denim in the entire of New York City; Self Edge NYC. There will be more on that later but all you need to know for now is that this means SALE! for all of you in NYC.

Here’s a picture of Andrew and intern and good brother Chris (!!) looking pretty ridiculous with their eyes closed- this should convince you to go down to the office. Should you get a chance to stop by the Sale tell them you went because of the amazing closed eye picture you saw of them.
Seriously though T-shirts are something absurd like 3 for $20 and they have some amazing pieces from deep in the back dungeons that you would be foolish not to check out. Some pretty clean outerwear just in time for Fall at some good old bargain basement prices. It’s a recession right? I am doing my part to give you the heads up. Check out the sale by click HERE.
Stay Safe,
Phil
