DC X NASH Press Launch Diary Day 1 part 1
To celebrate the release of the Nash Cad Well shoe I designed for DC, DC let me throw a couple of gentrified days in the country for a lucky few. It was hard work putting it all together but I enjoyed every minute of it. The 2 days ended up being the best 2 days I’ve had in a long time and thats mostly due to the people that came.
Here is a photo Diary of the 1st of 2 days
Monday 9th November
09:00
Making our way to Victoria Station for 10am meeting point
10:00
Everyone congregates at Costa Coffee in Victoria Station. Didn’t think it was gonna happen, people had to come from, Berlin and Paris that morning. Thought for a second Jay and Julien weren’t gonna make it, but they pulled through.
10:30
All of us board the coach for a hour long drive to the country.
11:30
Coach almost gets stuck between to barriers and the I have to maneuver the driver through the other barriers on the wrong side of the road.
11:50
We finally get to our destination in Redhill, Surry. Everyone gets out and scopes the surroundings.
12:00
We head to the barn for a nice cuppa tea and then lunch.
That’s me tucking in to my Bangers and Mash.
Sly, the fruit crumble and custard connoisseur
12:50
We sign our disclaimers (just in case any of us decide to shoot ourselves in the foot) and then get split up in to 4 teams. This is where the competition begins.
13:00
The bit that everyone has been amping themselves up for, CLAY PIGEON SHOOTING TIME!
Carl from Priory events teaching us how to use a 12 boar and how not to shoot eachother
Sofi donuts steps up to the plate and show’s the lad’s how its done. She did well, i think she got 6 in her first round.
Kish and Ollie choosing there weapon of choice.
Trei inspecting the workmanship
Julien the marksman doing his thing.
Ry having a smoke
6 million ways to die, choose one!
Could you trust a guy looking like that with a double barrel shot gun?!
Team 3 actually thinking they are winning, when in actual fact they are not. HA-HA
Manu, No:2 Marksman
That’s me telling the instructor that I broke his 6 piece tea set, he didn’t look very impressed haha
And that’s me blowing a clay pigeon out of the sky.
Julien and Manu came joint first with 10 out of 12 clays shot, so they had to have a shoot out.
Basically, they had to keep shooting clays untill one of them missed. It got quit tense as you can see everyone below watching intently.
so the top 3 individual scores where as follows
1st place Julien 10/12 and winning the shoot out with Manu
2nd place Manu 10/12
3rd place was Ollie, Ed and myself with 9/12
And the overall team clay pigeon shooting champions where.
TEAM 1
to be continued………………..
