DC X NASH Press Launch Diary Day 1 part 2
16:30
We finished shooting clay’s. Being most of us have never experienced this kind of thing, it was inevitable that we would sees the opportunity to take as many ridiculous photo’s with guns as possible.
TEAM 3
Rambo meets Sherlock Holmes. Would that make it Rambo Holmes or Sherlock Stallone?!
Kish Kash and his Strait Up Distribution sales tactics “BUY IT OR DIE”
Jay Smith going on like LEON
That’s a WAH nails advert if I ever did see……………..
Who invited Derrick Zoolander?!
Piaf on your left is Pimping the Stussy Penfield Jacket and Sly on your right is rocking the DPMHI Penfield jacket.
17:00
We all get driven to check in to the Hotel. The 4 star hotel is called The Nutfield Priory Hotel and dates back to 1872. The country mansion has the sickest views of the countryside as it’s built on a massive ridge.
This picture was taken from behind the Priory earlier in the day, from the days activity’s.
This is actually what it looked like by the time we got there.
Everyone relaxing in the Hotel lobby while I’m sorting out the rooms.
After checking in we had a few hours to do what we wanted before dinner.
Some of us chilled in there rooms, here is my one.
had a plasma that pops out the end of the bed.
Private top floor balcony over looking the countryside.
Some of us had a few drinks at the bar.
And some of us went for a swim and a Jah-koozy lol
20:00
Dinner was served in a private dinning area.
We had 2 set menu’s to choose from.
Menu 1 was:
Starter, Fresh Water Crayfish, Crab and Avocado Tian, Red Onion Chilli Salsa, Gaspacho Dressing.
For main course, Breast of Free Range Sussex Chicken with Wild Mushrooms, Asparagus and Smoked Bacon Risotto with Tarragon Jus.
And for dessert, A Sticky Toffee and Banana Pudding, Toffee Sauce and Vanilla Ice Cream
Menu 2 was:
Starter, Serrano Ham carved over Champagne and Celeriac Remoulade, Wild Herb Salad and fresh pressed Basil Oil
For main course, Cider marinated Loin of Local Pork, slow roasted with crispy crackling, Apple Sauce, Cocotte Potatoes and Braised Red Cabbage
And for dessert: A Bitter Chocolate Tart, Ginger Ice Cream and
Mandarin Sauce.
I was prompted to give a speech, which I have never really done before, totally forgot to have one prepared and terrible at giving.
I just talked about the project a bit, thanked Toni Garcia for getting the ball rolling on the project, thanked Brett and DC for the project and helping put this massive event on and then thanked my guest for making it such memorable and enjoyable event, which they did.
Will getting all creative again. lol
Trei giving the thumbs up
I think Jay got over excited and passed out at one point
Around 21:45 (I say around as I’d had a few drinks by this point and loosing track of time)
We had finished our dinner and where just chilling at the dinning room table having more drinks. I decided that this would be a good point to give everyone there shoe’s. As everyone was so cool i asked Rufus if he would take a picture of people coming to collect the sneaker, some what like graduation day. It was meant to be a joke and for my personal archive only. But the pictures came out well funny and I’ve decided to share them with you.
It was like working in a sneaker store again, looking for everyones sizes.

DC X NASH Press Launch Diary Day 1 part 1
To celebrate the release of the Nash Cad Well shoe I designed for DC, DC let me throw a couple of gentrified days in the country for a lucky few. It was hard work putting it all together but I enjoyed every minute of it. The 2 days ended up being the best 2 days I’ve had in a long time and thats mostly due to the people that came.
Here is a photo Diary of the 1st of 2 days
Monday 9th November
09:00
Making our way to Victoria Station for 10am meeting point
10:00
Everyone congregates at Costa Coffee in Victoria Station. Didn’t think it was gonna happen, people had to come from, Berlin and Paris that morning. Thought for a second Jay and Julien weren’t gonna make it, but they pulled through.
10:30
All of us board the coach for a hour long drive to the country.
11:30
Coach almost gets stuck between to barriers and the I have to maneuver the driver through the other barriers on the wrong side of the road.
11:50
We finally get to our destination in Redhill, Surry. Everyone gets out and scopes the surroundings.
12:00
We head to the barn for a nice cuppa tea and then lunch.
That’s me tucking in to my Bangers and Mash.
Sly, the fruit crumble and custard connoisseur
12:50
We sign our disclaimers (just in case any of us decide to shoot ourselves in the foot) and then get split up in to 4 teams. This is where the competition begins.
13:00
The bit that everyone has been amping themselves up for, CLAY PIGEON SHOOTING TIME!
Carl from Priory events teaching us how to use a 12 boar and how not to shoot eachother
Sofi donuts steps up to the plate and show’s the lad’s how its done. She did well, i think she got 6 in her first round.
Kish and Ollie choosing there weapon of choice.
Trei inspecting the workmanship
Julien the marksman doing his thing.
Ry having a smoke
6 million ways to die, choose one!
Could you trust a guy looking like that with a double barrel shot gun?!
Team 3 actually thinking they are winning, when in actual fact they are not. HA-HA
Manu, No:2 Marksman
That’s me telling the instructor that I broke his 6 piece tea set, he didn’t look very impressed haha
And that’s me blowing a clay pigeon out of the sky.
Julien and Manu came joint first with 10 out of 12 clays shot, so they had to have a shoot out.
Basically, they had to keep shooting clays untill one of them missed. It got quit tense as you can see everyone below watching intently.
so the top 3 individual scores where as follows
1st place Julien 10/12 and winning the shoot out with Manu
2nd place Manu 10/12
3rd place was Ollie, Ed and myself with 9/12
And the overall team clay pigeon shooting champions where.
TEAM 1
