Dalek plays tourist at Makapu’u and TCM
August 9, 2009
With James Marshall (Dalek) and the crew banging out work steadily…it was time for a little Hawaiian beach action. It started with an early morning drive out to Makapu’u on O’ahu’s eastside, then over to Sandy Beach for some shorebreak hijinks and finally up to The Contemporary Museum for lunch and to see their new exhibit.

Good morning Makapu’u beach and your seaweed.

Couple shots to take back to North Carolina.

Then up to The Contemporary Museum. Couple shots of their beautiful lawn, so relaxing!

James brought some Sandy Beach over to TCM. He also refused to wear his slippers.

James with TCM curator Cade Roster. Still barefoot.

The current exhibit is done by minimalist Yoshihiro Suda.
“Japanese artist Yoshihiro Suda is known for his installations of delicate carved and painted wooden plant life. Suda’s sculptures of indigenous Japanese plants and flowers are meticulously created.”

Very minimal exhibit! All photos: LanciferVisual/ContrastMagazine
