Out of my 6 years of show experiences so far, it’s really not easy when you have to run from one award ceremony to another…
But it was a good experience… in each which I was playing a different role.
In the KAPPA X YOHO Awards, I was founder of SMG - I managed to receive 2 awards for my 7 month old label SMG, presented to me by Endo of Devilock! Thanks Endo, looks like we have alot more coming up for us than just the first DVLK x SMG collabo!
In the Global Chinese Music Awards, as a singer / songwriter, I had the honor to be presented with the following:
- Best Duet Song 2009
- Best Singapore Act 2009
- Top 5 Mandarin Male Vocalist 2009
- Best Male Vocalist 2009
Thanks to Kappa x YOHO, and the GCMA team for the love shown! You guys rock!

I thought to myself, if I was a movie star, having a wax figure proves I have made an impact in the generation’s pop culture. As a musician, I’d like my song to echo on in the listener’s heart… if the song lives inside us, i think that’s when the singer / songwriter has attained success.
