Green Dog

Looking at Chinese artist Zhou Chunya's green dog sculpture shows me his close bond between him and his pet. His famous Green Dogs is based on his pet German Shepherd who he painted for over 10 years. His pet has since passed away and Zhou believes he was poisoned by a neighbor. Maybe he finds solace in painting his beloved dog after it's death. This sculpture I saw at MAD shows a siamese twin dog.....maybe a reflection of the soul and physical state in his memory of his precious pet.
