Q123 #1 - DJ KOJIRO (FRAGMENT DESIGN/OUTWARDS) for quarters.
“VINTAGE NOISE” Mix CD.
Little known to most, Kojiro is a long serving member of Tokyo’s influential Fragment Design team, having worked alongside Japanese icon Hiroshi Fujiwara for the better part of the past 15 years. Not one to seek the limelight, Kojiro is also one of the Tokyo underground set’s most respected DJs, and can be found playing at numerous venues across the city every weekend.

For the Q123 capsule collection Kojiro put together a mix CD of his favourite tunes - a mixture of acid jazz, funk and soul specifically for quarters boutique entitled “VINTAGE NOISE”. A self-confessed audiophile and true to his love of vintage audio gear, the CD was recorded using classic 70’s Bozak equipment and vinyl, giving the end recording a unique 'vintage' sound. The CD cover and print also feature superimposed images of Kojiro's own Bozak mixer, amplifier, and woofers. Continuing the theme, Kojiro’s name was also specially designed and printed in the same style as the original Bozak logo, in homage to the brand.

This item was given away as a complimentary item to the first 50 people in attendance at the Qubic 123 Block Party birthday celebration on 07/08/09.
