PUNK SKA UNITY
November 22, 2011
On March 11, 2011, an earthquake of magnitude 9.0 hit Japan, creating a tsunami, leaving over 19,000 dead or missing.
The northeastern coastal area of Japan was brutally destroyed.
This area of Japan had no live music venues to start with, and the only music events were the occasional festivals.
However, even that was taken away by the disaster, and music stopped reaching this region.
Thus, a project began that will build live music venues in three locations in the areas of destruction.
The goal is to deliver live music, and connect people and communities.
When you buy PUNK SKA UNITY’s “DECISION” or “DECISION -cubismo grafocio REMIX-” on itunes, all profits will go toward funds to build those live venues.
40 PUNK and SKA musicians from Japan and America came together to create and record this song.
Angelo Moore (FISHBONE) and Mike Park (THE CHINKEES, SKANKIN’ PICKLE) have joined from America.
There are no borders in music.
We hope you, punk/ska brothers and sisters from overseas, can lend us a hand for this cause.
Best regards,
