Song of the Day: Frijid Pink-House of the Rising Sun

Ive been bumping the Strong Arm Steady x Madlib Album, “In Search of Stoney Jackson” all last night and all morning and i was all ready to rave about it with grunts and wild hand gestures like a mute person trying to warn you about in-advertantly sticking your hand into a wood chipper. However after my 20th listen in the span of a day and being too lazy to lift my head and will the the album to repeat again with the powers of my mind (which in my somnambulant stupor i swore i could do), the next song on the shuffle was allowed to sneak its way past the hip hop onslaught.
The rendition of the Animals song “House of the Rising Sun” as performed by Frijid Pink came up on the stereo. It woke me up, I Iet it play. It snapped me out of my slumber and i’ve been awake since. The wailing guitars gave an already powerful song retard strength, hits you like you tried to tickle a bi-polar gorilla who just laid of from his job at the feces throwing factory.
Plus look at the lead singer, hes swaying like hes hopped up on a mix of PCP, Cat tranquilizers, Mocha Frappe Lattes and Watermelon Nowalaters.
Having seen the video… this joint is better than The Animals one… but musically speaking haha… I think I prefer the OG one.
This version is pretty dope.
