The force is strong with Snoop Dogg and Neil Armstrong… Feb 4th Imperial March NYC.
February 8, 2010
My very 1st gig representing Adidas full on as one of their brand ambassadors, and it couldn't have started any better then this.
Yes, above is a picture of me and an Imperial Storm Trooper. And below is a picture of me and the worlds most favorite droid R2D2 cold chillin.
AND yes, this is some stills of Mr Snoop D - O - double G , groovin with me while I'm on the wheels of steel...

My most favorite movie and cultural phenomenon known as star wars come to life , Crossed with my love of Hip Hop and my career as a DJ... I dunno ya'll, you can't just make this stuff up.
On Feb 4th as announced in my previous blog, Adidas was recreating the Imperial March from Times Square, with Darth Vader and a Bunch of Stormtroopers in tow, with a special guest - Snoop Dogg, in order to celebrate/announce the release of the New Luke Skywalker kicks...
While Darth and Snoop were leading the Empire down times square, I was at the Adidas Originals store in SoHo gettin ready...
The folk from hypebeast TV captured it from the start though, and you can peep it right here - video and all...

Now as you can imagine, being the superfan that I am, I was a bit upset that I wasn't part of the March itself, like being the geek at the prom who has to be the person who hands out the seating arrangement tags instead of partaking in the big dance.
But, the force was with me that day, and I was able to JOIN the tail end of the march as the empire approached the Adidas Originals store...
And once they arrived at the Adidas Originals store on wooster, well for me, it was like my action figures came to life....
Ehh, you know what - pics don't really do it justice - peep this exclusive behinds the scenes video to get the real feel....
The whole scene as you can imagine was pretty surreal.
Much props go to Jon Wexler from Adidas and this gentleman hanging with R2 below Oliver Kann who was instrumental in bringing me into the Adidas Family.
Then of course, there was Snoop and his camp, who brought it to ANOTHER level.
At one point R2D2 started harassing Darth Vader and Snoop... probably because it was so SMOKEY in the store... hmmm;)
I got snoop to sign a copy of the classic Doggystyle AS WELL AS the his cousin who illustrated the 1st album Joe Cool
Plus, I ran into an old friend Ted Chung, who happens to be part of Snoops Management Team...
And FINALLY, I got to take a pic with the man Snoop D O double G .
EAST COAST, WEST COAST AND WORLDWIDE. We held it down for adidas...

Ha, the best part of the event was the homeless guy with the Holiday Special sign! “Happy Life Day” indeed!!! What the heck is backslacpkping?
