REAL LIFE.

Some of the best photography, to me, is that which could easily be translated as a painting.  I don’t know who shot this photograph of Natalie Portman, but the slow shutter, slight movement, soft lighting, and cold tones give off this Impressionist vibe.  Definitely easy on the eyes.

HOME. SWEET HOME.

This is like the architectural equivalent of a beautiful woman that you lay eyes on for the first time, she takes your breath away, and you already know you can spend the rest of your life with. Something like that.

LA ROCHEFOUCAULD. SAY THAT FIVE TIMES FAST.

François VI, duc de La Rochefoucauld, le Prince de Marcillac is my new rap name.

Just kidding.

François VI, duc de La Rochefoucauld, le Prince de Marcilla was a prolific writer.  La Rochefoucauld was a 17th Century French author, he was a buncha other things also… but he’s mostly known for his proverbial statements, his maxims. By today’s standards, I guess we’d refer to them as 1-liners, except they were profound and vastly insightful on life and the human condition.  Kinda like Twitter, except what he said really mattered and resonates centuries later.

I still don’t really understand Twitter. I will be honest, it’s rather ridiculous. I even tried retiring for bit, but then realized that in my line of work I kinda have to do things like that. Annoying. I hate Tweeting product updates or anything related to The Hundreds, I feel like a smarmy salesman.  I hate sharing my personal life online, I’m barely interested in whatever I’m doing at the moment, so I’d be surprised if anyone else cared about it.  So if you’re 1 of my 10,000 Followers, I’m sure you’ve gotten used to my bad jokes and occasionally, the poor attempt to be La Rochefoucauldian.  I apologize.

FLY LIKE AN EAGLE.

I didn’t take that photo.  I wish I had.  Does anyone wanna hook me up with a bottle of Screaming Eagle?

I’m assuming you’re on Hypebeast because you’re into limited edition product, exclusive goods that are so difficult to attain that only 3 other people in the world nerd out about it as much as you do.

Well, if you’re into wine, Screaming Eagle is the one for you.  First of all, if you want a bottle of the Oakville, California winery’s syrup, you gotta be a member.  And if you’re not a member, you gotta sign up for the waiting list. But guess what? They stopped taking names on the waiting list. Check out their website,which is essentially a gigantic FU to anyone who wasn’t down, like, 20 years ago.  So basically, good luck with your Trader Joe’s 2 buck Chuck.

So let’s say you are a member.  Okay, you get 3 bottles a year TOPS.  You pay $750 for each.  And you’re stoked, because your next best option is to try your luck at a select few restaurants. If they have a bottle, it’ll cost you a few grand.  Or you can just pay $10,000 for a bottle on eBay.
