REALLY COOL.
These are my friend Abby’s photographs from Iowa, where much of her family lives, and she’s spent a chunk of her life. To me, this is cooler than any cityscape, hip hangout, or urban jungle. For some reason, I’ve always been enamored with the charmed Midwestern life. Movies, books, .. whenever I meet someone who’s a Midwesterner, I won’t leave them alone until I get the rundown. The dedication to values, family, the quiet, slower life. Maybe it’s because it’s something I’ll never have. Regardless, her stories and photographs of smalltown life inspired some of my work today! Yeah man.

I completely agree!
exactly! i am very drawn to mid western small towns too… esp. movies. i am sure there’s something interesting hidden in all that calmness.
It’s interesting that you consider this great when this everywhere from where I am from and still am (Omaha, NE).
Hey Bobby, I’ve been reading The Hundreds blog for awhile now and I’ve always been really impressed with ur pictures man. Your pictures can be of anything and still look brilliant!
Mind if I ask what lenses you usually use?
Artie, I shoot with a 50mm1.2L, and a 24-105L, and a fisheye. All Canon lenses.. Thanks
