HOODS.
March 24, 2009
Ben, Jon, and I just spent the past hour downstairs around the Street Fighter machine, discussing our fleece program for the next year. Is there anything wrong with the hooded sweatshirt? This is streetwear to me, beyond t-shirts, sneakers, beyond baseball caps and purple polka-dot sunglasses.
Check out this old school UNIFORM CHOICE hoody taken from the xSHIRTSx blog. (The lost art of the..) pullover hoody, classic white that probably locked up nicely with some stone-washed button-flys and a clean pair of runners. Exaggerated raglan cut with a rudimentary hand-drawn screenprinted graphic. This isn’t fashion, it’s style, and it speaks louder than any $120 limited-edition hoody.

I’m hoping we can see something like this from you guys in the near future.
sweet hoody, i seriously can not wait for that reunion to happen
“This isn’t fashion, it’s style, and it speaks louder than any $120 limited-edition hoody.”
With all due respect, if you truly believe this why do you sell hoodies at that price?..
A live shot on the back and the band’s name with varsity letters on the front is all I need in life
Just because something is expensive doesn’t mean it’s good fashion. But that doesn’t negate the fact that something fan be fashionable and pricey. Second point, in the case of our $120 hooded sweatshirts, when all is said and considered, it costs that much because of the production costs on the piece. Perhaps it’s produced in limited quantities, so minimums weren’t met, etc. But if you notice, we do offer cheaper hoodies that are more palatable to a customer who wants something basic and maybe not as crazed out as a more complicated fleece. And the price reflects accordingly. Thanks for the question, it was a good one.
Yo Bobby, hurry up and drop the Yetti! that shit is DOPE.
Ya i do notice that, and i guess people could just get the cheaper hoodies if necessary. But thanks alot 4 the reply, i appreciate it!
$120 for a hoodie. had better be quality on the make. no poly blends…all cotton and well stitched. Most cases you get what you pay for. pullover hoodies aren’t for me…gotta be a zipper hoody…show off the tees.
Yo. To bad people in general don’t seem to know what this is all about. Uniform Choice will always be one of my favourite bands.
STRAIGHT AND ALERT!
Street Wear AIN’T THAT DEEP…”The Hundreds” KILLED THE SCENE,”THE HUNDREDS” = NERDY ASIAN KIDS IN WAY TO TIGHT DENIM,RANT/ off
It seems in most cases when you buy a hoodie for $120, its made right, in good quantity, and has a better fit. Its hard to pay it, but when you do those hoodies always become your favorite. But i must say, i love a cheap OG pullover.
BRandon has a point about the hoodys, and how much they are worth…When it is all said and done, Hundreds hoodys are not worth 100+…
Hypebeast cue to google Uniform Choice and hardcore punk in general to act like they know what’s up.
pullovers with pockets are my preference but plain pullovers over a zipper hoody any day…
Its funny how people perceive things, that’s hoody to me says homeless guy on corner with no style. HACKS
That’s funny, Mr. The Real. Your comment to me says “It’s only stylish if it’s on the home page of this website. Hell, I spent $400 on some Air Yeezy’s”.
I didn’t know that bobby and the hundreds were so deep rooted into the old school hardcore scene/bands. Rules.
I’ve always dreamed of a piece of the Minor Threat sheep and Adam Bomb kickin’ it!
So funny to see two nerds aping expensive fashion J-Shit from the 1990s and being al “real” bout it. One day I would like to see a picture of these dudes at an actual HxC from they wher in High school and not some reunion show in a safe venue with only old punkers in attendance. Any picture would do. Not need be digital HI-RES a polaroid will do.
Congratulations in finishing law school and tanking la streetwear game.

Actually E-Rich ,my comment was meant totally opposite of that. In fact I more or less agree with you. Just because some dude that thinks he has some style suggest and old ratty hoody is the shiet don’t make it the shiet, back to my point it’s funny how people percieve things. And on a side note I don’t get my style tips from this site and Air Jeezy’s are horrible.
Hardcore music def inspired the streetwear scene as we know it today.props to Bobby Hundreds for recognising the real and that’s why i check out The Hundreds blog daily.
your take on hardcore is decidedly west coast.
nice, really nice!

UC is one of my all time favorite bands but I hope this never happens.
