being part of a crew is a special something, even if if this crew is only together for a short period. you never know if or how you will work together, but if you do make it work, there will be bonds for life after that. this is what happened to me. one lonely night last october i sat in my office space when an email hit me and the offer to do my colorway of a nike shoe, it had to be done in super fast time window, but i was flattered and instantly in. the ctrs crew were more than just people who designed or ride bikes, there are people who ride bikes with a passion, some roadbikes but most of them track bikes. there is hal from tokyo, a guy you will never see without his säg bag and who will outrace you while whisteling along to bob marley that comes from his iphone, massan of mash fame who is the uncrowned king in downhill bombing, ted ( some call him super ted, but that is the understatement of the century ) who can do everything even with a broken hand, better even with two guinness inside, jupiter who is more american than anyone i have ever met, but the first one who made you like everything about that, nish, one of my ny people who can ride hard keeps to himself, but offers wise words when needed, kyle, the man that shows the way even if sometimes in the wrong direction, but he takes matters into his hands and gets stuff done ( quote: ok guys, the ferry leaves in 18 minutes and we have five miles to go we have to friggin leg it !!!! let's go !!!! ) a motivator beyond words!, andy the man behind fixed magazine and fixedgearlondon, one of the strongest riders i have seen so far, just throw him a steep hill and he will ride it up with lightspeed, there is no medium cruise for this one, he is all in all the time!, ryan, the mellowest roommate i aver had, and one hell of a speedster as well, he also was one of the best mates i had on our tour through europe followed by our last rider hime, this one made me laugh so hard that sometimes had tears in my eyes, and the first tattoo will be one of his quotes for our crazy trip on a trackbike: WHAT CAN POSSIBLY GO WRONG ?

the great people that were with us along on this trip include ian blackheart who has a heart of gold and who without i would have never made it to the end of this crazy trip, adriana guerrero who kept her sanity all the time when being with 12 crazed boys on bikes, grace ladoja made sure the production of this epic trip went all smooth, well as smooth as possible, then our camera and sound engineers dave & ryan who were in over their head but found out we are some likeable guys in the end i guess...

and a special shout goes to two riders from london, one is oscar who can destroy every bike you have ever built in under two hours, but he also is the only sixteen year old ( or 17 dont know ! ) who rides through london traffic as if there was no one there and then there is the golden boy of ldnfg mickey, he came with us the first part of the ride down to the ferry and decided that he was not made for more riding which was a manly thing to do. he rules in my book, really does...next time you make it all the way buddy !!!

Awesome ride artoo. Would love to pop over to Europe with a biciclette some time and ride with you all! Looked like a real fun time, riding with a crew of friends, old or new is the best feeling. You captured those 'moments' well.
