ten days
January 31, 2010

it took us ten days to ride our bike from sydney to melbourne, a total of 1138 km were ridden, 10762 meters of climbs and a total of rolling wheels for 46hours and 19 minutes with an average of 24,6km/h. hills are a killer here in OZ. but we rode it, the whole way. crazy times that almost seem a year ago already…..here is a big picture book of what happened…

australia - the first four days in paradise
January 18, 2010

i have had my fair bit of travel over the years but somehow i have always managed to not go to australia. why i don’t know. because i have never been in a more nice place on earth so far. the people are exceptionally friendly, one of the guys i met in japan on the tour to the cmwc i met here again, YOGI, is maybe the warmhearted person i have ever met. he gets stuff done for us in lightspeed, is there when we need him, basically priceless. all the people here are nice and when you just smile at someone, people are not baffled, no, they smile back and ask how you are. sometimes i feel like i am in the truman show and i will keep looking for cameras guys. so far i have only explored sydney but here is how i think the city goes in numbers: old people ( older than me ;)) less than 2%, boys girls ratio: 20:80, girls: 98% scorching hot, 1.5% heartstopper, 0.5% will make you never want to leave, you may just forget about other cities and/or countries. these are all estimates…more infos soon
