Marking the 15th anniversary of the silhouette, adidas Originals has announced a new double release for the sneaker. Coming in both a one-to-one reproduction of the original and an updated, contemporary take on the shoe, the previously announced ClimaCool OG Pack stays true to its history while also nodding to the present and future of its design.

Going back to its 2002 roots, the ClimaCool 1 comes in its original White colorway, accented in Black and Red, and features a ClimaCool mesh upper with TPU supports to the cage and toe bumper, topped off with a breathable perforated sockliner on Adiprene midsole. The updated ClimaCool 02/17, meanwhile — which comes in the same colorway as the ClimaCool 1 — adds a set modern design touches, applying ClimaCool mesh to a classic running shape, with a molded TPU 3-stripes mark and side supports sitting atop a sleek rubber outsole to provide the familiar shoe with a progressive upgrade.

The ClimaCool OG Pack drops at adidas retailers on July 21, but — if you can’t wait until then — why not check out which of the iconic German brand’s new drops made it into our selection of the best new European sneakers released this weekend.
