Is Off-White™'s 2017 Fall/Winter Collection Inspired by an '80s Mystery-Comedy?
“Seeing Things” at Paris Fashion Week

Earlier today at Paris Fashion Week, American designer Virgil Abloh premiered his 2017 fall/winter collection, which he has dubbed “Seeing Things.” Could the collection be inspired by the ’80s Canadian mystery-comedy of the same name? If the inclusion of corduroy, tartan, long overcoats and a heavy does of brown-and-blue color combos are any indication, then Virgil just may be trying to recall the image of the murder-solving journalist Louis Ciccone.
The clean, understated collection also features collaborative pieces with French street artist Pablo Tomek. Abloh plastered Tomek’s signature abstract brushstrokes across various womenswear items, from clutches and bags to knit dresses.
