IKEA to Open a DIY Restaurant in London
The best part is that it’s all free of charge.
Aside from its affordable furniture and home decor offerings, IKEA is also known to serve a tasty, albeit simple Swedish culinary experience at its locations across the globe. Now the Swedish retail giant is taking its food selections outside of the cafeteria and into a pop-up DIY-style restaurant in London’s Shoreditch district. Starting September 10 customers will be get the opportunity to make brunch, lunch or dinner for up to 20 friends at “The Dining Club” under the supervision of a chef. Ranging from modern tapas-style dishes to Scandinavian classics, the space aims to inspire people “to rediscover the joy of the kitchen,” according to UK country marketing manager Laurent Tiersen. Best part of the whole experience is that everything is free of charge. Parties interested in registering for “The Dining Club” can do so via IKEA’s website now.
