NEPENTHES Offers Another Asymmetrical Take on the Classic Gibson Derby Shoe
A quirky take on an English staple.
NEPENTHES has a thing for asymmetric footwear. The Japanese retailer has offered off-kilter footwear through its Needles imprint, but now the store has re-upped on its partnership with English cordwainer Tricker’s, offering yet another asymmetrical take on the classic derby shoe: the right shoe features a cap-toe, while the left’s upper is a long-wing brogue. The subtle whimsy of the wingtips is offset with a rugged and sturdy rubber sole. These are available in a bevy of colors and materials, ranging from a dark Scotch grain leather to a rich, burgundy suede.
You can snag a pair over on NEPENTHES’ webstore for $775 USD.
