This Japanese Whiskey Leans More on the Refreshing Side

While your typical Hibiki, Yamazaki or Nikka comes with a familiar taste that’s synonymous to scotch, Kikori Japanese Whiskey opts for a lighter, more refreshing offering as a spirit. The unique taste of the drink comes from its 100% rice mashbills – local grains that have been cultivated in Japan for over some 2000 years, which is then cooked in giant steal steamers. To add complexity and flavor, the batch sits for three years in American oak, French Limousin oak and Sherry casks, and lastly bottled at 82 proof.
