Watch Nissan’s Brand New GT-R Drone Take on a 2017 GT-R Racer
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? It’s Nissan’s new mini quadcopter.
Nissan has just unveiled the GT-R Drone. Touted as one of the fastest first person view racing drones ever created, the mini quad-copter operates using a specialized race-tuned configuration allowing it to reach speeds of up to 100 km/h in a mere 1.3 seconds. To help showcase its true potential, Nissan pitted the drone against a GT-R racer, a super machine in its own right, as they took to the Silverstone Circuit in an all-out GT-R rally. The custom work of world drone prix champions, Tornado Xblades Racing, the copter comes outfitted with four propellers — each bearing its very own 2000kV Xnova motor. As far as max speeds go, Nissan’s new drone can top out at a whopping 185 km/h. For more check out the video above and watch the GT-R drone take on the GT-R supercar.
