Miles Teller Plays a Stouthearted Boxer in 'Bleed for This'
See the young star take a gruesome beating.
Miles Teller is set to play the role of a fearless pugilist in the upcoming biopic film, Bleed for This. The Whiplash star will cinematically don the gloves of Vinny Pazienza — a professional boxer who held multiple world titles and whose personal story makes for a distressing yet striking sports drama. In 1991, the boxing world had its eyes fixated on the 29-year-old Pazmanian Devil who pummeled his way to snagging the light middleweight belt. Then, a month after this big win, Pazienza unexpectedly gets into a car accident, leaving him with a broken neck and the risk of losing motor skills in his legs. All in all, the film will trail the boxer’s road to recovery and his victorious comeback to the ring.
Pazienza’s trainer, Kevin Rooney, will be played by actor Aaron Eckhart along with an interesting supporting cast that comprises Katey Sagal, Ciarán Hinds, Ted Levine, Amanda Clayton and Jordan Gelber. Bleed For This is slated to hit theaters on November 4.
