Former NBA MVP and Chicago Native, Derrick Rose, Gets Traded to the New York Knicks
“He wants the spotlight.”
The rumor mill has been talking for quite some time now and it is finally a reality. Former NBA MVP, Derrick Rose has been traded to the New York Knicks from his hometown Chicago Bulls. Looking to revive an early decorated career due to unfortunate injury setbacks, Rose is arguably the best point guard the Knicks will have on their roster in quite some time. The five-player trade consists of the Knicks acquiring Rose, Justin Holiday, and a 2017 second-round draft pick, while the Bulls will receive Robin Lopez, Jose Calderon and Jerian Grant.
With such a high-profile name to kick off the NBA’s offseason dealings, only time will tell for what’s in store for the rest of the league, along with the future of the NBA’s 2008 first overall draft pick, Derrick Rose.
