In the previous episode of MUNCHIES’ The Pizza Show, Brooklyn was the first location in Frank Pinello’s pizza expedition. This time around, the New Yorker makes a trip to Chicago to taste the difference in pizza culture, in comparison to his hometown. Pinello kicks things off by paying a visit to Tim Samuelson, a Chicago Cultural Historian, who points him in the right direction for the best pizza spots in The Windy City. Assuming that Chicago’s pizza only consists of deep dish, Pinello is introduced to another staple of the city in its tavern-style thin crust pizza in Vito & Nick’s Pizzeria as well as visiting additional locations such as Freddy’s Pizza and Lou Malnati’s.

Check out the rest of the video above to explore the hidden gems within Chicago’s pizza world.
