Aretha Franklin Covers Prince's "Purple Rain, Terrace Martin Performs & More at White House International Jazz Day Show

Last night, the White House played host to a star-studded round of performances put on for the International Jazz Day All-Star Global Concert. Introduced by President of the United States Barack Obama, Herbie Hancock, Robert Glasper, Terrace Martin, Aretha Franklin, Buddy Guy, Esperanza Spalding, Wayne Shorter, Pat Metheny, John McLaughlin and more joined forces for one of the biggest live jazz showcases in recent months. For her act, Aretha Franklin even performed a stellar rendition of Prince’s classic “Purple Rain.” Over an hour-and-a-half in running time, the entire live special can be viewed above.
