To celebrate the the 90th birthday of musical legend-of-legends Miles Davis, Robert Glasper will “reimagine” the jazz icon’s classic sounds for a new studio album entitled Everything’s Beautiful. To support and introduce the effort, Robert Glasper and Columbia/Legacy have unveiled the second single in support of the project. Dubbed “Violets,” the song finds Glasper and Phonte serving up collaborative music inspired by the Kind of Blue track “Blue in Green.” The track comes on the heels of the release of Everthing’s Beautiful‘s lead single, the Bilal-assisted “Ghetto Walkin’.” You can stream “Violets” above. Pre-order Everything’s Beautiful here.
