Nike Co-Founder Phil Knight Will Step Down as Chairman in June
Knight’s book ‘SHOE DOG’ also releases as a memoir of the early Nike days.

Big changes are coming to Nike this summer as Nike co-founder and chairman Phil Knight reveals in a new interview with CBS. While Knight’s stepping down from chairman was previously announced, current Nike CEO Mark Parker will be assuming role of chairman while brand president Trevor Edwards will be taking over as CEO. This musical chair game of roles will be happening this June.
A basketball hall-of-famer named the richest person in sports, Knight recently announced that he will be donating a vast majority of his $25 billion USD fortune to charity. Phil Knight completed penning his memoir, SHOE DOG, about his early days with the global sports brand which officially releases today.
