What Do Spike Jonze, Stephen Colbert and Grover From 'Sesame Street' Have in Common?
Watch this new intro to ‘The Late Show’ to find out.
Visually-attuned director Spike Jonze recently was given the opportunity to create a new opening for Stephen Colbert’s The Late Show. While the pair in itself may have people wide-eyed in curiosity, throw in famed Sesame Street Muppet Grover into the mix and the combination is sure to peak the interest of comedy, art, wholesome nostalgia and filmmaking fans alike. The new intro features an emotionally lost Colbert wandering the streets of NYC, only to find companionship and guidance from everyone’s favorite childhood character. Jonze thus transforms the opening sequence with his renown style in directing, utilizing tons of photography-influenced frames of isolation and despair that ultimately turns into friendship, hope and solace.
