Sony Drops the First Red Band Trailer for Its R-Rated 'Sausage Party'
Starring Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, Michael Cera, James Franco, Danny McBride, Paul Rudd and more.
Having been in the works since 2010, Seth Rogen’s long-awaited Sausage Party is finally set to make its way to theaters. Screened at SXSW last night and on tap for a wide release last this summer, the R-rated CG animated movie — the first ever — pokes fun at the likes of Disney and Pixar and stars Rogen as a sausage named Frank who leads “a group of supermarket products on a quest to discover the truth about their existence and what really happens when they become chosen to leave the grocery store.”
Directed by Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon and written by Rogen along with Evan Goldberg, Kyle Hunter and Ariel Shaffir, Sausage Party — whose star-studded cast includes Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, Michael Cera, James Franco, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Paul Rudd, Nick Kroll, David Krumholtz, Edward Norton and Salma Hayek — is due out August 12.
