The days of sticking to one respective gaming console’s community will soon be over. As of recent news, Microsoft has announced the feature of cross-network play for Xbox owners. In order for this feature to be fully successful, Microsoft will need Sony and other possible competitors to actively participate in order for the new feature to reach its highest potential. For the time being, Rocket League is set to be one of the introductory titles to use the feature with a few other games in the works.
Add this news to the recent announcement of Remote Play for PlayStation 4 games on Mac and Windows machines — the home console gaming realm is heading towards new plateaus of connectivity and synchronicity.
