Natural and man-made materials blend into one; that’s the defining attitribute of the Mercedes House located in Argentina, South America. The structure, built by Frazzi Arquitectos, utilizes an equal measure of concrete foundation with walls made of real brick that offsets with a rustic feel to the former’s modern aesthetic. Metal beams add an emotional feel of rigidity and security, while glass ceilings and walls — both fixed and not — present an airy atmosphere. Lastly, the entire structure, while horizontally wide, is situated to promote a vertical living layout with its skylights, glass bridges, tall staircases and more.
