Garbstore Turns the Reebok Aztec Inside out for Spring/Summer 2016
It’s what’s on the inside that counts.

With each Garbstore x Reebok collection, London-based designer Ian Paley takes his main reference points from the “unseen” elements of the original Reebok classics, often making the shoes’ primary construction their essence. This unique, “inside-out” approach has resulted in a variety of well-executed sneaker silhouettes from the British duo, the latest of which is the Aztec for Spring/Summer 2016. Proving, once again, that it’s what’s on the inside that counts, Reebok’s archival favorite returns with clean, white, and grey uppers and contrasting red, blue and yellow stitching, while details such as interior labels and branding now feature prominently on the shoe’s exterior. As a nice, thematic touch, Garbstore’s pared-down Aztec also features a luxurious leather lining that’s in keeping with Paley’s counter-intuitive design approach.
