ASICS GT-Cool Xpress "Mint"
Another appealing colorway of the ’90s running shoe.

ASICS may be known best for retro running silhouettes like the GEL-Lyte III and GEL-Lyte V, but it’s the brand’s tech-laden GT-Cool Xpress that has been grabbing headlines so far this year. Originally released in 1992, the GT-Cool Express was a groundbreaking design that introduced visible GEL technology to ASICS’s popular running shoe line up. The sneaker debuted in an OG colorway earlier this year, generated some buzz as Ronnie Fieg’s latest collaborative silhouette, and now seems poised to release in a slew of new renditions. Most recent among them appears to be a “Mint” colorway of the retro runner, a well-executed offering that combines black leather and suede uppers with a white midsole and mint green accents. Take a look at ASICS’ GT-Cool Xpress “Mint” here and look for the sneaker now at select retailers like afew.
