Supermodels don Kanye West’s designs for an exclusive model portfolio.
Ahead of CR Fashion Book issue 8’s release later this month, Carine Roitfeld’s eponymous publication has offered up a sneak peek of its first-ever model portfolio. Simply dubbed Girls 2016, the piece stars 20 models in all and fields a familiar cast that includes the likes of Gig and Bella Hadid, Irina Shayk, Nina Agdal and Amina Blue — all of whom don nothing but Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 2 designs and heels from Gianvito Rossi. Said Roitfeld of the portfolio:
I am very loyal to models I like, from Julia my daughter and love forever, to my new girl Amina Blue. I decided to make this shoot very sexy, like the one I did with Steven Meisel for Pirelli—using oversized clothes and sportswear mixed with high heels by Gianvito Rossi, and reflecting the military mood of Kanye’s show. His show inspired me with the form of the girls too. They all looked tough, but sexy.
The 48-page special edition Girls 2016 will be available alongside the eighth issue of CR Fashion Book — the biggest yet at three volumes and over 500 pages in all — come February 26. Copies can be pre-ordered online now.
