Carhartt WIP Pays Tribute to Detroit House With the Legendary DJ Moodymann

Carhartt WIP decided to pay homage to its roots by teaming up with fellow Michigander Kenny Dixon, Jr., aka DJ Moodymann, for a capsule collection inspired by the latter’s Detroit-proud record labels, Mahogani Music and KDJ REcords. The collection features the Detroit Soul Skate and Set U Free T-shirts and a limited-edition sling bag trolley designed specifically to protect vinyl and DJ gear in transit. WIP stores will also carry an exclusive, unreleased remix of a Moodymann track from 2001 and a brand-new track called “5800 Cass Ave.” on a 7-inch vinyl.
The collection is available on February 26 at Carhartt WIP stores, selected retailers and online.
