It appears Apple is beginning to make plays into original video content such as a music videos. According to a report from Recode, Apple didn’t just pay Drake to premiere “Hotline Bling” through its streaming service, they actually financed the whole production. “Hotline Bling” as we know it, quickly blew up on the internet, instantly going viral, spawning a plethora of memes on social media, the 2016 presidential race, and even making it’s way onto America’s big unofficial holiday, the Superbowl.
