To cap off the year, Revolt reached out to Nas for a new installment in the network’s Music Talks series. Sitting down with Revolt for three conversations, Nas opened up about politics, the rich history of NYC hip-hop, and contemporary rap. Most notably, Nas shared his personal opinion on the five emcees currently running the rap game. For his own list, Nas names Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Drake, Lil Wayne and Rick Ross as his five favorite modern rappers. Considering Nas’s praise of these five artists in the past, his selections probably shouldn’t come as a huge surprise.
