Apple's AirPods Are Now Available
The wireless earbuds have arrived in time for the holidays, but you’ll have to act fast.
Over the weekend, The Wall Street Journal reported that Apple’s AirPods — which had already experienced a couple of delays — had been delayed until 2017, missing the pivotal holiday release window as the Cupertino tech giant struggled to manufacture the product to scale. As it turns out, however, the wireless earbuds will indeed see a release before year’s end — in fact, they’re unexpectedly available now from Apple’s web store.
If you want the wire-free, Bluetooth-connected take on Apple’s signature EarPods, however, you’ll have to act fast: only 10 to 15 million units are expected to be available at launch and shipping times will undoubtedly slip past Apple’s current estimations as more orders are placed.
