Barack Obama may be on his way out of the White House, but the current POTUS is still receiving more support from the entertainment industry. Last month, Obama took part in BET Presents Love & Happiness: An Obama Celebration, an event he labeled as his very own “block party.” The gathering featured acts such as The Roots, Common, Jill Scott, Janelle Monae, De La Soul Usher and others, and is the event Dave Chappelle referenced in his recent, acclaimed Saturday Night Live monologue. Now, a television program that documented “Barack Obama’s block party” is coming to TV. On Tuesday, November 15, BET will air Love & Happiness: An Obama Celebration; to promote the effort, a trailer featuring some of the night’s biggest stars has surfaced.
