In a cross-disciplinary sporting love-in, Nike’s new Hypervenom colorway sees soccer’s Neymar pay homage to basketball icon Michael Jordan in an update to the NJR x Jordan Hypervenom boot. Having originally launched back in June, these updated red-and-white models, which were inspired by the Jordan V, bear Barcelona forward Neymar’s number 11 on the left heel and – at the Brazilian star’s request – Jordan’s revered number 23 on the right in celebration of both icons’ sporting careers, while the new model is also supplemented by an apparel range and a football training shoe. Look out for the new boots on the pitch when Barcelona take on Manchester City on October 19 – they’ll then be available on the Nike website from November 17.
