Converse's Quilted Jack Purcell Is One of the Most Intricate Sneakers of the Year
Limited to just 500 pairs and handcrafted with details like a leather sock liner.

With its simple, tried-and-true design, Converse’s Jack Purcell has long lent itself as a canvas to minimalist and bold executions alike. The upcoming quilted mid-top edition is the latest to go the latter route, following last month’s HTM-designed low-tops with one of the most intricate makeovers of the year. Handcrafted and tailor made for the fall/winter season, the premium kicks not only include embroidered quilt-inspired uppers, but boast the likes of leather sock liners and — since they’re a part of the Signature line — Nike’s Zoom Air cushioning technology. As Bryan Cioffi, Vice President/Creative Director of Converse Global Footwear, puts it, the new design “is the embodiment of Converse’s dedication to both modern fashion and on-the-go comfort.”
The Converse Jack Purcell Signature Mid “Quilt” drops this Friday, October 14, at Converse stores, select Converse stockists and converse.com. You’ll have to act fast though if you want a pair: the mids are limited to just 500 pairs.
