Hoodboi Shares an Ethereal Video for Hard-hitting Single, "Closer"
The CGI-heavy experience features Anny Wang’s impressive artwork.
Hoodboi‘s latest single, “Closer,” is an energetic, melodic and hard-hitting one, and the LA producer recently released a visual to pair with it. Directed by SHINOSM, the visual for the ASTR-featured track showcases Anny Wang’s artwork, presented through an impressive array of CGI-work. The ethereal video features storms, clouds, seizure-inducing light shows and more. Hoodboi shares with FACT Mag:
“Initially, I reached out to Anny Wang to create the still artwork for “Closer.” We had worked together in the past on my first EP Palm Reader and the remix EP. The original concept for ‘Closer’ was two bodies reaching out towards each other, yet never truly touching and creating a sense of tension,” says Hoodboi. “Once it was time to create the video, I hit up Shin who I had worked with in the past on my side-project Athletixx.”
