Twitter has seen a recent wave of backlash directed at American Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour for a comment she made this week during her appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers. Her cause for the social retribution comes from describing Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 3 show as “migrant chic,” which she now understands was a very poor choice of words to say to a public audience. In a bid to let the public know of her acknowledgement, Wintour released a statement with The Guardian exclaiming, “I apologise if my remark was offensive in any way. The migrant crisis is real, and I didn’t intend to trivialise that issue.” Watch the full interview below.
