There’s definitely a large-scale movement brewing in Toronto right now. The region is basically having its “moment” in music right now, and continues to stir up a storm of quality music and talented artists. From Jazz Cartier to the OVO crew, the Six is killing it right now.
One of those individuals currently rising above the pack and building up an impressive profile is River Tiber. His biggest single yet, “No Talk,” was sampled by Drake for “No Tellin,” a song off his 2015 surprise project If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late. At the start of this month, he earned a placement as the lone feature on Jazz Cartier’s very impressive sophomore album Hotel Paranoia. Continuing the hot streak he’s start to cook up, River Tiber drops off a video for the Drake-sampled single, “No Talk.” It’s presented in striking, artful black-and-white, and serves as a fitting visual companion for Tiber’s music. River Tiber is quickly become yet another Toronto talent to keep an eye on.
