Andre 3000 must be a huge fan of Kid Cudi. While making a brief promotional run in support of his new role on ABC’s Emmy and Golden Globes-nominated drama American Crime, Andre 3000 linked up with Billboard for a Q&A. Speaking to Billboard‘s Adrienne Gaffney, Andre touched on a multitude of subjects relating to his career as an actor. However, it’s everything he talked about that wasn’t related to American Crime that will probably receive the most attnention. During the exchange, 3 Stacks spoke on his “musical reunion” with Erykah Badu, the music he’s listening to now, the initial “reunion” tour as one-half of Outkast, his own future in music and more. Specifically, Andre singled out Kid Cudi with the following praise:
The new Kid Cudi album [Speedin’ Bullet 2 Heaven] is awesome to me. That’s kind of like the most recent thing that I think is really great.
He also spoke on the status of his own new music, giving the following response when asked if he had the time to work on music recently:
I still get time to think about music. [Shooting TV and film projects] is not so bad — it kind of puts you in the place where you’re fiending to do music. I’ve been holding [back] for a long time, so now I’m really interested in figuring out some type of music to do. I’m always recording.
