This Virtual Reality Simulator Takes Your Experience to the Skies

Virtual reality has been taken to another level thanks to the “Cable Robot Simulator.” Created within the walls of the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics, its primary use has served the studies of flight and racing simulation but it makes some wonder the type of potential it may have if it were used for entertainment, such as video games. During the experience the subject sits within a carbon fiber cage while wearing a wireless virtual reality headset, as the machine is hung in mid-air and tossed around thanks to the help of eight steel cables.
