A few months ago, it was formally announced that The Cool Kids are never coming back. One-half of the disbanded duo Sir Michael Rocks has been stylistically deviating from his old sound, and Populair is a demonstration of the change. While we’ve only heard one track from the EP, “Perfect,” before today, the entire project is available for streaming now, a few hours ahead of its official release date. You’ll hear a lot of unfamiliar abstract flows and beats; listen to it above and let us know if you’re feeling SMR’s new direction.
